Anisohyperopia

Anisohyperopia

Anisohyperopia is defined as having a different amount of hyperopia (far-sightedness) between the two eyes. If the anisohyperopia is large between the two eyes, amblyopia (lazy eye) can occur in the eye with the larger amount of hyperopia. It is usually recommended that anisohyperopia be treated with glasses as this will prevent amblyopia.
